Common questions before downloading
What is LiftPal?
LiftPal - Body & Mind is an iPhone app for Daily Goals, workout tracking, 40 short Wombat Flow games, and a customizable wombat. You can manage daily intentions, log workouts, choose activities across memory, focus, logic, and speed, and personalize the wombat and its room with rewards and outfits.
Is LiftPal a workout tracker for strength training?
Yes—the training log is a substantial part of LiftPal, but it is not the whole app. You can follow your own routines or start a spontaneous workout and record every set with repetitions, weight, and perceived effort as RPE. Daily Goals, Flow, and the wombat can be used independently.
What workout data can LiftPal track?
LiftPal records sets, repetitions, weight, and RPE. It also provides a rest timer, workout history, statistics, and personal records. Optional Apple Health permissions can include steps, body weight, workouts, and selected recovery signals.
Can LiftPal help with progressive overload and training plans?
History, statistics, personal records, and RPE help you review workload and progress. Premium adds custom training blocks, a mesocycle generator, coach suggestions, and deeper analysis. LiftPal does not guarantee results and does not replace individualized medical advice.
What are Wombat Flow games?
Wombat Flow includes 40 short exercises and programs across memory, focus, logic, and speed. Daily Flow selects a compact session with a deliberately clear finish instead of opening an endless play loop. Flow works as its own area; the complete library is part of Premium.
Are the Flow games medical brain training?
No. LiftPal is not a medical service, does not diagnose conditions, and does not promise treatment or improvement of a disorder. Flow results are activity scores inside the app, not a medical or psychological assessment.
How do tickets, coins, and the Arcade work?
The ticket model limits new Arcade starts, not an open session: new wombats begin with 3 tickets, and the bag holds up to 9. Completing Daily Flow or a workout, returning from an adventure, and finishing a Weekly Reflection can replenish tickets; not every Daily Goal directly awards one. One ticket opens exactly one session, with free retries and no additional time or retry limit while it remains open. A ticket above the cap becomes 50 coins. Depending on the game and score, Arcade may award coins, but coins are not guaranteed. Premium can double activity rewards; a completed Daily Flow can award 1–3 tickets within the cap. Coins are for cosmetics, wombat clothing, room colors, and furniture.
Does LiftPal work with Apple Watch and Apple Health?
Yes, with a compatible iPhone on iOS 18 or later and a paired Apple Watch on watchOS 11 or later. The Watch accompanies a workout started on iPhone and supports set entry, the rest timer, heart rate, and active calories; it is not standalone. Apple Health is optional and permissions can be revoked at any time.
What is free, and what requires Premium?
The workout log with sets, reps, weight, RPE, routines, spontaneous workouts, rest timer, history, statistics, and personal records stays free. Premium adds training blocks, the mesocycle generator, coach analysis, the complete Flow library, and extra wombat rewards.
Does LiftPal require an account, show ads, or upload workouts to a LiftPal cloud?
No. LiftPal requires no account or email address, shows no ads, and uses no cross-app tracking. Workout, Daily Goals, Flow, and wombat data are processed locally; exports you start, optional Apple Health permissions, App Store purchases, and support emails are separate processes.
What makes LiftPal different from a simple gym log?
LiftPal combines Daily Goals, a complete strength-training log, 40 short Flow games, and a customizable wombat with outfits, rewards, and its own room. Each area works independently, so strength training does not have to be the only reason you open LiftPal.
Can I use LiftPal if strength training is not my main focus?
Yes. Daily Goals, Flow, and the customizable companion are complete areas of their own. You can manage intentions and routines or choose from 40 short Flow games across memory, focus, logic, and speed, then include training only when it fits your day.
Does LiftPal support bodybuilding, powerlifting, and calisthenics?
Yes. Planning and the program library distinguish bodybuilding, powerlifting, calisthenics, weighted calisthenics, home training, HIIT, Pilates, mobility work, and hybrid combinations. Goals, experience, and available equipment inform suitable movements and training blocks.
Is LiftPal available for Android?
An Android version is planned. There is no confirmed date or final feature scope yet. LiftPal will launch first for iPhone; the paired Apple Watch companion follows workouts started on iPhone.
