Apple Watch workout companion
The next set is on your wrist; the plan stays on iPhone
The LiftPal Watch app accompanies a workout that you started on iPhone. Log sets and control rest during the session without reaching for your phone after every entry.

What you can record with LiftPal
- Only accompanies a workout started on iPhone
- Set entry and rest timer controls on your wrist
- Heart rate and active calories with optional permissions
- Apple Health access is optional and revocable
Start on iPhone, follow from Apple Watch
Choose the routine and start the workout on iPhone. The paired Apple Watch then becomes a companion for that active session.
The boundary is deliberate: the Watch app is not a standalone workout planner and does not start an independent LiftPal workout without the iPhone.
Less phone handling between sets
While the workout is active, use set entry and rest controls from your wrist. The complete plan and deeper analysis remain on iPhone, while the Watch focuses on immediate actions.
Health data only with your permission
With the relevant optional permissions, the Watch can include heart rate and active calories in the workout context. Apple Health is not required for the normal training log, and permissions can be revoked in system settings.
These values provide activity context. LiftPal does not present them as a diagnosis, medical measurement, or health assessment.
Designed for a paired Apple setup
The Watch companion requires a compatible iPhone running iOS 18 or later and a paired Apple Watch running watchOS 11 or later. The iPhone remains the primary LiftPal app.
No LiftPal account required
The Watch workflow does not require a LiftPal account. LiftPal shows no ads and processes workout data locally. Optional Health permissions use Apple’s permission system and remain separate from App Store purchases or support requests.
